I have MS 14.1 on a laptop with 8.1.
Here the laptop menu command DELETE (MACRO) is unavailable (dimmed).
What to do? Urgent.
I have many macros.
On my PC this works
Delete macro does not work

Re: Delete macro does not work
Is the macro in a linked group? If so you can't delete it from within Macro Scheduler. Instead delete the file from disk.

Re: Delete macro does not work
Possibly I use "linked" without knowing better.
- On my PC I can delete .-
I found that I could delete the file but this is also a little hard o work with.
What does linked Group mean? Reference?
Probably I could skip this - How do I delete the linking?
(I found now the check box in the Group property - but cannot uncheck it)
Thank you for a prompt reply.

Re: Delete macro does not work
If it's just you using it then you probably don't need a linked group. This should explain what a linked group is and how it can be useful:

Linked groups are explained in the manual under "Groups":

Re: Delete macro does not work
To delete the linking should be easier.

Re: Delete macro does not work
There are plans for a linked group management tool. Linked groups are designed for centralised sharing of macros and you would not want users deleting macros that someone has shared, at least not the original file. So for that reason the idea is that the administrator would delete the file. In future the administrator - or the person who created the linked macro - would be able to manage the links. Users should not be able to remove or modify links, but can create non-linked local groups.
