Is it possible to read the embedded bitmap file directly from the exe instead of extracting the file to disk then only read it?
Eg.
Currently I have to extract to disk and read it like this below
WaitScreenImage>D:\testone.bmp,0.7,CCOEFF
But can I read the embedded bitmap file directly from the exe like this below?
WaitScreenImage>TESTONE.BMP_DATA,0.7,CCOEFF
Can this method/feature be implemented in future MS?
read bitmap directly from exe

No.
Having done further research on this I need to point out that at this moment this is quite unlikely to happen. There are some considerable technical challenges to overcome. However, it remains on the wish list.
