Has anyone upgraded to Windows 8.1 yet?

Marcus,

Do you boot to the desktop? I just discovered that if I let the computer boot up completely (it still boots to the Start Menu) then I go to the desktop I have this problem. If I go to the desktop immediately when the Start Menu is available and prior to Macro Scheduler starting, then I don't have the problem.

I do boot to the desktop now, but don't remember seeing this when I didn't.

I'll eventually boot straight to the desktop. For another week or so I want to leave everything generic so I can understand what the average Windows 8 user is experiencing.

Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone else had this happen.

Hi Phil, do you mean Win 8 can run faster than Win 7?
Have you considered Win 8 is more restrictive (aka protective) with more Big Brother ware embedded compared with Win 7?
Does MS support touchscreen on Win 8 Tablets?
