Web Macros with other Internet Browsers

Post by winstein » Wed Oct 02, 2013 8:53 am

Is there a way to use Firefox or Chrome as part of the WebRecorder functions? It looked like only Internet Explorer is the only one available.

Thanks for reading.

Webrecorder is Internet Explorer specific, so cannot be used to control other browsers.

Are there any alternative ways to do web-based macros on Firefox or Chrome with the same type of commands as the IE-based ones?

Thanks for reading.

Not with the IE/WebRecorder functions no.

For Chrome/Firefox you would need to use "traditional" methods and/or Image Recognition etc.

My browser of choice is Chrome. So when *I'M* using my PC I use Chrome. But IE is great for automation due to it's COM interface, so Macro Scheduler prefers IE. And since Macro Scheduler is usually running its routines in IE when I'm in bed sleeping I don't really mind because I can't see it anyway.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?
