Create and view a log file

Hello everyone,

Last time I was coding some script and I had some problems to make it act as I wanted, so I decided I should create a log file to see what happens. The thing is I cannot do it.

I check the "log process" option and give a name to my file, but the file is not created.

It is such a noob question but, what am I doing wrong?

How are you running your script?

Logging doesn't happen during debug (i.e. when running the macro from within the editor).

Also if you are running the macro externally (outside of Macro Scheduler) then you'd need to specify the log file on the command line.

Anywhere else, if run from within Macro Scheduler (e.g. from the Run button in the main window (macro list) or a schedule/hotkey/trigger) then the log file will be produced and you will then see the log file icon enabled and you can click it to quickly view the log file.

That is exactly what I was doing. I knew it had to be a simple thing but I just could not find it by myself. Thank you!
