how do i cut text from webpage and paste to outlook 2010

Post by mart093 » Fri Feb 10, 2012 3:52 am

I need a routine that:

1 copy text that appears in online newspaper articles
2. converts selected html material into ascii/text
3. paste ascii/text into an email in Outlook 2010
4. enters or inputs one single email address [to a listserver] in the section TO: of Outlook 2010
5. copies the first line of ascii/text and pastes it into SUBJECT: of Outlook 2010?

I am new at this.

Thanks

Have you tested to see if you can copy the text from said newspaper?
I just pressed CTRL A for Select All and then pressed CTRL C. And opened a notepad and pressed CTRL V. I did this after I read your post and ALL the text was copied to the notepad. No problem. MS has a PRESS command to send these keystrokes after the window is focused.

If you have no problem with copying the text, you can manipulate that anyway you like. Plus you can use MS to send the text to an e-mail. Unless there is a reason you have to use Outlook 2010?

Post back about your results first. Then if you want help with the rest, I'll see what we can do.
