FTP and Unzipping

Post by Jill » Mon Sep 19, 2011 4:17 pm

Where would I find the commands for FTP? I saw them on the site once, but can't seem to find them again. Also, is there a built-in FTP program that is part of the Macro Scheduler? Not sure where I got that idea, but I did. If not, I would like to use Filezilla if possible. I need to log on, change directory, and download a specific file every day. And know how to know when it has completed the download.

Also, I can download either a zipped version or an unzipped version. The unzipped version is 2-3 gigs, so I'd rather dl the zipped file. But again, I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

Sorry, I am a newbie, and not a programmer! But hopefully, I will catch on eventually!

You'll find them in the same place you'll find all the other commands. In the editor, click the Command Locator tab and they are under FTP/HTTP/Telnet/Email

Or in the help file (Press F1 or use the Help menu) they are under Command Reference and then FTP/HTTP/Telnet/Email

To unzip a file use the zip library at http://www.mjtnet.com/plugins.htm
