Compiler: using the last used output-path as default

Post by matthiasR » Tue Jul 01, 2008 10:25 pm

Creating an exe from the main menu of MacroScheduler should use the
the last output path as default, like the advanced editor does.

Presently, when compiling from the main window, the path defaults to the same location of the macro. I think this is a hangover from when there was no compile dialog and so no option to change it. But I see no reason why it should be like this any more so if there no objections I think we'll change it to work the same as from the editor, as you suggest.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?

Got my vote too. Also, it would be nice to do the same with the icon file and to auto save which options are checked.

Thanks for listening, Marcus.

Must the compile and Save As path have the same default? I appreciate the Adv Editor defaulting to the last used path for the compile, but it drives me nuts that Save As defaults there too, rather than to the path from which the .scp file was opened - which is what most editors/applications do.

If you right click to open a macro off the macro list, there appears to be no easy way to know where it was stored if you want to store a modified/renamed version in the same location. Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong (as usual).
