New MACRO Install

Post by putmann » Fri Apr 25, 2008 11:49 pm

I just installed MS 9.2 after using 7.4. I noticed that MS 9.2 is looking for the macros in "My Documents" folder. Can I change this easily WITHOUT CAUSING application issues?

You can put your macros in any folder, including on a Shared Resource like a file server for common usage.

Move the macros to the folder(s) of your choice.
Make a group for that folder. Change the properties of that Group to use that folder.
Import the macros from that folder into that Group.

I usua;;y have the log files go to the same folder that the macro is stored in.

-------------------------
If any doubts, make copies of your macro files before you move them.
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
Bob

Thanks for the reply, but I think I didn't explain the issue correctly. The PC I am using is a network PC and I am logging into a network using my network logon. Upon install, MS uses my Windows Profile on the PC :C:\Documents and Settings\jsmith\My Documents\Macro Scheduler.
I am trying to import scripts from a separate folder on the PC into MS. I do not want to use any Windows Personal Profile. Upon install why can't the default be changed to C:\Program Files\Macro Scheduler\?

In C:\Program Files\MJT Net Ltd\Macro Scheduler, edit the path under the [General] section in groups.ini.
