I'm sure this is something a lot of you do anyway, but I'll share just in case.
If you're anything like me, you have a lot of macros, and if you also like me and getting a bit ancient, you might sometimes forget which hot key is associated with which macro. Enter, the programmable mouse.
I'm using a Logitech G700s mouse. It's a 13 button mouse, and all the buttons are quite accessible with very little hand shifting.
I leave three of those thirteen buttons unchanged (left click, right click, change profile), and program the other ten. The mouse has five profiles, so that leaves me 5 x 10 = 50 different macro shortcuts I can program. So instead of remembering to press CTRL+Shift+B, for example, I just press one single mouse button, and my macro fires right up!
Plus, this mouse can change profile according to whichever application is open. That means it can load an entirely different set of ten shortcuts for a specific application. Very handy.
How do you like to fire up your macros?
