How to add images to forum

A little embarassed here but I can't add images to a forum post.

I tried entering the path and applying the [img] tags but all I get is
[img]c:\users\...my%20path..\img1.jpg[/img]

I know I am going to feel foolish but can someone point me in the right direction?

I believe you have to post the image in some universally accessable place on the web, then provide a link to it.

Yep, upload it to Photobucket, for example. Then then use :

I Use http://minus.com/ For My Uploads. Allows Direct Linking. At Present Your Trying To Link A File From Your Local Computer Which We Don't Have Access To.
