Open Internet Explorer, Login, Navigate to Page, Grab File

I'm trying to write a script that will login to a defined web page, then go to the "download.asp" page and download a file (run.exe). I'm a total noob... Just need some direction.

Step 1) I know how to open Internet Explorer
Run Program>C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe http://localhost/mypage.asp

then i get lost here...

Step 2) The form fields in HTML are: name=loginname and Passsword=Password

3) After login, navigate to the page "download.asp" and grab the file called "run.exe"
