Why would I get extra linefeeds?

Post by Indebele » Wed Nov 24, 2004 3:36 pm

Next Problem...

I have been using Send> to paste (from a memo field in Corel Paradox) into a memo field in MS Access. For some reason I get an extra linefeed between each line. (I am sure Ctrl-V wouldn't cause this problem but I don't quite want to jump back and forth for each field.)

Thanks for any help I can get in advance.

Bruce.

CTL-V doesn't "cause" the problem, but it does copy the source code exactly. It sounds like you have extra invisible codes in the Corel source that are being copied.

Try TYPING, not Cut/Paste the same information into Notepad or some other text editor like TextPad. Then use CTL-C to copy to clipboard. Now let the script SEND>TheClipboard to see if you still get the extra return lines.
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
Bob

Bob,

I wan't trying to say that CTRL-V wouldn't work. On the contrary, it resolves the problem.

I found an easy solution for the problem though. PutClipBoard, then Pasted (CTRL-V) into the field.

Thanks for your response.

Bruce.
