Enter data from ODBC source to a windows application

Post by roycasey » Tue Apr 18, 2006 5:12 pm

Hi
Can anyone point me in the direction of some help please?
I need to load data from an ODBC source into a windows application but have no access to the backend of the application
If the data fails the applications validation (eg you enter an invalid date) then you get a message, otherwise it is accepted when you click ok
I am hoping to fire in a lot of records on a scheduled nightly update and mark the ones that fail to validate so they can be sorted manually
I guess you need to count the records in the datasource and then loop through them sequentially with sql
Is there a previous post about this that could save me a lot of time?

Many Thanks

Hi,

There are lots of posts here regarding ODBC. Please use the Search function (link at top of page) and search for ODBC.
