VBscript defect after uninstalling MSched-Demo

Post by Hardware_Tester » Mon Jun 27, 2005 8:25 am

I uninstalled the demo-version after buying the pro. It asked to delete any unused dll, where I clicked YES. I didn't reboot the System, because win2k doesnt need it.

After all it worked fine, but when I wanted to shut down the computer where the disaster begans: The logoffscript for disconnecting the netdrives dident started and an error was displayed (not word by word):

The Engine "VBscript" is missing to run "Path_and_Name_of_Script.vbs"

The same Error was displayed when I logged on, and the Script didn't work as expected. So i'm without an actual antivirus, working drives, system updates and so on.

The dll-Files which were asked after anew uninstalling the tool where
"scrrun.dll" and "vbscript.dll" which were both in the actual version which are installed on all computers here.

Our Hotline couldnt help and I didnt found any suggestions in this Forum.

So: What is missing???

*edit* a Bugfix is: Reinstalling with the installation of the windows-scripting-host -> search in the download-section of microsoft.com for "wsh"
