On Screen Text Reader

Post by stev3n » Thu Nov 01, 2007 1:43 am

I'd like to retrieve some text from a website where you can't just "highlight" them, so pretty much an ocr.

I thought about taking a screenshot of every block and trying to compare them to a letter, but I'm not sure how I would do this. I've also seen a post about how word had an OCR - but I did some research and it's only Office 2003 and I'm running Vista with Office 2007, without the MODI capability.

Is there any other way I can do this?

Thanks

Oh,

And if anyone has figured out how to use the MODI with Office 2007, please let me know.

Ah crap. Office CD is hundreds of miles away. I guess I'll have to somewhat resort to getting my hands on it one way or not legally.
