Hi mfauzim....

No need to make another thread on this same subject.

It is desired to keep all responses in the original subject when practical.

Re your problem, you may find that error is being by the database, not by the ODBC. If well designed, the database should prevent records from being added if they would create a duplicate key value. You may want to keep the error and use it to change the key value on the record you are trying to add.
