GetFileList command and non-english filenames.

Post by observer » Wed Sep 16, 2009 9:49 pm

Hi,
I have a need to use GetFileList command under Win XP x64 (Eng). The problem is non-english filenames represents incorrectly (something like this ????????.exe). I had tried to use DOS dir command but I'd got the same result. Does anybody know any way to fix it?
Best regards.

Not really, nor do I have any way that I know of to test potential solutions.

But....

From the info in THIS MSDN BLOG Did you try dir /x? (converts the long name to 8.3 format)

I get the same thing in XP but it works fine in Vista and Windows 7. I also note that in XP while I can see the foreign char unicode filename, if I copy and paste the filename into Notepad, it also shows wrongly in Notepad. So I actually think this is something to do with XP not Macro Scheduler.

I wonder if this might help:

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?
