How important is this feature for future versions of Macro Scheduler?

Important, even if the size/efficiency of Macro Scheduler increases/degrades

ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: User defined Help

Post by Bob Hansen » Mon May 05, 2003 7:29 pm

Using 7.2.034

Problem:
Sometimes it is valuable to add notes to scripts as a reminder or to clarify how a command may work. Example, "Use MoveFile to do a Rename", or "Use DOS Copy vs. MoveFile to do a Rename File for faster speed", or similar comments. Or perhaps references to the various forms of "command.com" for Run Program> depending on the OS. Or a note that "IfFileChanged> uses a 24 hour clock vs. a calendar date". These types of comments would be very useful to show up in the context sensitive Help sections.

Request:
 Modify the Help Section to provide an additional field for user-defined notes tied to the existing Macro Scheduler Help information. This would have to be maintained in a separate file so that upgrades would not affect this information. It would also be helpful if this user-defined Help file could have the option to be shared across the network similar to my earlier requests for macros.dat and schedule information. Again, provide the option of the user-defined help to be part of the shared Help or kept local only.

Again, thanks for listening.
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
Bob
A humble man and PROUD of it!
