Where is quick button data stored?

Post by tchite » Mon Jan 08, 2007 8:42 pm

Hi,

My old hard drive started losing sectors so I copied the Macro Scheduler and Quick Buttons folders to my new drive after installing Windows XP on the new drive. The scripts and other data for Macro Scheduler seems to be there (perhaps in the .dat or .ini files) but all my buttons in Quick Buttons are gone.

Where does Quick Buttons store it's data?

QuickButtons stores ALL it's settings, including the button information, in the registry. Look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\QuickButtons and in there you will see a key for each button bar and beneath that settings for each button on the bar. This data can be exported using Regedit and imported on another computer.
