Dick, OS is Windows Server 2000 and I am disconnecting from Remote Desktop. I have not tried MS (I assume MS=MacroScheduler?) yet and just downloaded the trial version onto my laptop. Hi Dick, I used Notepad simply as part of my test. My setup had the macro looking every 2 minutes for a .txt file that was FTP'd from the mainframe via JCL.
