I already want to change this posting.

I already want to change this posting. I went over to the Memberlist and found that most of the members don't even publish their Locations. I think that if you want to have a worldwide Internet meeting and you want to attempt come up with a good time for almost everyone, it would be good to g...

Does anybody want to have virtual meetings?

Does anybody want to have virtual meetings over the Internet? Ernest brought up an interesting point about the flurry of posts that Bob Hansen and I have enjoyed over the past few days. Ernest said that it looked more like a personal chat than it did a Forum discussion, and he was feeling like we ha...

Should Ernest make his vote count?

In my last post, I suggested to Ernest that he consider being a member of this Forum so that he could vote in our polls and make his vote count. I also told him I would conduct a respectful poll to see what you all thought about that idea. So here is your chance to cast your vote. Remember, we will ...

Make your vote count

Ernest, I probably speak for the entire Forum when I say it would be great to have you as a member. Then your vote would really count. 8) I have only been a member for a few minutes myself, but from what I can see, you contribute an awful lot to this group and have helped tons of people, including m...

I can move files by using DOS

Ernest, I can move files from one directory to another directory by using DOS, or by using Second Copy 2000, which I already talked about. Take another look at Bob's post, and my post, and you will see that the issue at hand is to reduce the number of files in a specific directory to a set nu...

Bob Everything works great now so we have made good progress, indeed! :D And I certainly appreciate all your help. If you can hang in there for just a few more questions, I would like to get your input on making a few more tweaks to make our little script perfect for my needs. Of course, the first t...

More filenames based upon today's date

Bob, I am sorry to always ask you the hard questions, but does this script idea of yours also work for files created with today's date? If it does, what do I type in for the command Let>filenamebase= Can I run two scripts in the same directory using two different commands Let>filenamebase= Or do I n...

Debugging process stopped at

I stepped through the process as you suggested using the debugger and found that the computer was locking up at MidStr>%YYYY%,3,2,YY . I am hoping that there has been a typo made somewhere. I know you probably need to go do something else right now, but could you check it again for me tomorrow or so...

Feel free to jump in any time

Armstrong,

Feel free to jump in any time when you have information like that to share! :!:

The Press TAB *13 command will really clean up my script a lot because what you saw in this short clip was about 1/10 of the number of times TAB appears in the other parts of my script.

Give credit where credit is due

Bob,

I will be happy to include your signature here at the Forum in any scripts that I use of yours. But please expect to get a few phone calls or emails that you might not be expecting.

I'm just glad you could be of assistance to me and I am sure others will feel the same.

Script Broken

Bob, I added your script to my script and tried to run it. Unfortunately, it stopped as soon as it started working on your part of the script. :( Then it slowed down my machine and made noises like it was thinking. After that, it almost locked up my Windows 2000 machine and then closed Macro Schedul...

Some very good advice...

Yes, Bob, I have been getting some very good advice from all of you at the Macro Scheduler Forum. Pity I can only pick and choose from all the wonderful posts even though I do not want to offend anyone. I don't want to change the Registry, even temporarily, 5 times per week, 20 times per month, 240 ...

Bob, Sorry about getting off-topic...

And I promise I will try not to let it happen again. I was thinking that very thing whilst I was in the midst of my ramblings. Many thanks to all for allowing me the opportunity to get up on my digital soapbox once again and not all ganging up on me by chastising me sooner. Bob, can you take ...

Don't worry Armstrong, you will get your chance to help me

Armstrong, I am sure I will have another question on another script sometime in the near future and I am sure you will get your chance to help me then, but this time the guys were able to take care of me in your absence. As far as your CD Burning script idea... First of all, I use a piece of Softwar...

Ernest, one more quick question

Made those changes as Ernest and the others suggested and my script is getting better by the minute, but I have one more question for you Ernest. Is there a way to cause the GetDate>date command as I have it written in my script to either use mmddyy format or cause it to produce a date like January ...
